JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

 

As a Home Health and Hospice Sales Trainer, you will play a crucial role in equipping our sales team with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively promote our services and grow our business. You will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of our sales representatives, enabling them to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and referral sources.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Develop and implement sales training curriculum, including workshops, seminars, and online resources, to enhance the effectiveness of our sales team.

2. Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to sales representatives, focusing on sales process and techniques, service line knowledge, and customer relationship management.

3. Collaborate with sales leadership and other cross functional department leaders to identify training needs and develop strategies to address gaps in knowledge or skills.

4. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and best practices in home health and hospice sales, and incorporate relevant information into training programs.

5. Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through metrics and feedback and make adjustments as needed to optimize results.

6. Serve as a subject matter expert on home health and hospice services and sales process, providing guidance and support to sales team members as they onboard and navigate sales situations.

7. Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new sales hires, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their roles.

8. Provide individualized support and guidance to new sales representatives during their initial training period, including shadowing sales calls, conducting role-playing exercises, and providing constructive feedback.

9. Collaborate with sales leaders to create personalized development plans for new hires, identifying areas for improvement and providing resources and support to help them achieve their goals.

10. Serve as a mentor and resource for new sales representatives, offering ongoing support and guidance as they navigate their roles and build relationships with healthcare professionals.

11. Monitor the progress of new hires and provide regular feedback on their performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement and offering guidance on how to enhance their effectiveness in sales.

12. Work closely with the sales leadership team to assess the effectiveness of onboarding programs and continual training, and make recommendations for improvements based on feedback and outcomes.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 

1. Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, related field.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales training, preferably in the home health and hospice industry.

3. Proven track record of success in sales, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals.

4. Strong understanding of home health and hospice services and the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients.

5. Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.

6. Experience developing training materials and delivering engaging presentations.

7. Ability to travel as needed to conduct training sessions at various locations.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

1. The ability to sit occasionally for 1-3 hours.

2. The ability to frequently stand for 3-6 hours.

3. The ability to occasionally drive/ operate foot control for 1-3 hours.

4. The ability to walk occasionally on level surface for 1-3 hours.

5. The ability to walk intermittently on unlevel surface for less than 1 hour

6. The ability to intermittently bend or climb for less than 1 hour.

7. The ability to occasionally twist, kneel, crouch and crawl for 1-3 hours.

8. The ability to lift 50 pounds intermittently in less than 1 hour.

9. The ability to carry up to 50 pounds intermittently in less than 1 hour.

10. The ability to push up to 50 pounds intermittently in less than 1 hour.

11. The ability to pull up to 50 pounds intermittently in less than 1 hour.
